Pankaj Ji Maharaj Appeals for Vegetarianism and Moral Living to Establish Ram Rajya
At the ongoing 14th Annual Bhandara Satsang Fair at Jaigurudev Naam Yog Sadhana Mandir in Mathura, Pujya Pankaj Ji Maharaj, successor to Baba Jaigurudev Ji Maharaj, urged people to adopt vegetarianism and give up intoxicating and mind-destroying habits for the establishment of Ram Rajya. He also elaborated on spiritual themes including Brahma Lomas Rishi dialogue, ritualism, permanent peace, the greatness of saints, and the significance of Surat-Shabd meditation.
Need for Practical Spirituality in Kaliyug
Quoting the line, “Jo sadhan the pichhle yug ke so Kaliyug mein kiye praman,” Pankaj Ji Maharaj explained that human life and circumstances have changed significantly over different ages. He said that in today’s polluted and fast-paced world, people neither possess the time nor the capacity for the rigorous spiritual practices followed in earlier eras.
He emphasized that pilgrimages, fasting, and external rituals alone cannot lead to realization of the Supreme. According to him, true spiritual progress is possible only through association with saints and inner spiritual practice.
‘Jaigurudev’ Naam Described as a Path to Liberation
Pankaj Ji Maharaj compared the human body to an air-filled vessel that becomes helpless once life departs. He stated that worldly attachments often become the source of suffering, whereas saints who reveal the mystery of Surat-Shabd can guide souls toward liberation.
Describing “Jaigurudev” as the divine name of the Supreme Being, he said Baba Jaigurudev Ji Maharaj established this spiritual path to help souls reach Satlok. He added that true devotees seek the Creator rather than material blessings.
Spiritual Connection Essential for Lasting Peace
He remarked that despite material advancement, people continue to live with anxiety and inner unrest. According to him, humanity was meant to control machines but has instead become dependent on them. Permanent peace and happiness, he said, can only be attained through reconnecting with the soul’s eternal source.
Guru Purnima Satsang Announced
The organization also announced a three-day Guru Purnima Satsang Fair to be held from July 28 to July 30, 2026, at Jaigurudev Ashram in Mathura. Devotees were invited to participate in large numbers.
Pankaj Ji Maharaj is scheduled to begin a 38-day satsang tour of Ambedkar Nagar district from May 22, while another satsang program is planned for June 5 at Jaigurudev Ashram Khanpur in Azamgarh.
Large Gathering of Devotees at the Fair
On the night of May 18, Pujya Pankaj Ji Maharaj performed worship rituals at Jaigurudev Naam Yog Sadhana Mandir and Satsang Bhavan, praying for the welfare of all living beings. Devotees later joined in long queues for worship, which will continue until May 21.
To manage the large gathering, the fairgrounds have been divided into 30 sectors with 39 separate administrative departments overseeing arrangements. Food distribution camps organized by devotees from various states and districts continue to serve visitors. Several stalls offering sherbet, cold drinks, and sattu refreshments have also been set up to provide relief from the heat.
Dowry-Free Marriages and Spiritual Gatherings
Several dowry-free marriages have been solemnized during the fair, with more ceremonies scheduled through May 21. Spiritual discussions and satsang gatherings are also being organized across multiple sectors throughout the event.
